Design of Experiment
MBD analyses involve many components and various interactions between them (e.g., forces, constraints, etc.). Such analyses can benefit from DOE simulations to refine the design spaces for a subsequent optimization.
Monte Carlo Study
Finding trends of key outputs based on the stochastically dispersed inputs is one of the main ways to validate the accuracy of the results of an MBD analysis. Monte Carlo (MC) studies of complex ADAMS model may be too costly to run in series or even on a few Windows machines. It is our understanding that Hexagon, Altair and Siemens do not provide such capability for multi-threading and parallel processing on HPC's or Clouds.
Solution
FEAD offers a Monte Carlo Automation tool that automates the job creation and job submission of DOE or MC analyses. This tool harnesses the SMP and parallel processing power on Linux-based HPCs or clouds to run multiple jobs in a much faster fashion. This tools also helps import the results of all the many thousands of MC runs into its post processing GUI for a bug-free and crash-free post processing experience.
